Ryan was trained in genetics and cell biology at the University of California at Davis. Since 1988 he has worked in several biotechnology companies and as an independent biotech consultant focused on adding value to early stage therapeutic and technology efforts. Ryan is co-inventor of five US patents, has published multiple scientific communications, developed many applications for the drug discovery market, and lead collaborations worldwide with well-known pharmaceutical research teams from companies like Merck, Amgen, J&J, Novartis and AstraZeneca.
Philip has worked in the medical device industry for over 30 years. He has successfully grown several start-up medical ventures, including Aspect Medical, a $100 million global public company that was acquired by Covidien in 2009. While at Covidien/Medtronic, he was general manager of two business units. Philip received his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. He is the author of numerous publications and is an inventor of more than 15 US patents.
Trisha is a trained biologist with over 10 years of experience in biotechnology instrumentation development and laboratory management. For much of her career, Trisha has managed operations within multidisciplinary R&D laboratories and cell culture core facilities. In these roles, she has designed and implemented business processes to achieve operational excellence and scale organizations safely and efficiently. Trisha has also made significant contributions to the design and development of many products that biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies rely upon daily. These products include high precision and high throughput electrophysiology, cellular imaging, and label-free biosensors systems for the study of complex cell signaling pathways. Trisha earned her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry at California State University, East Bay.
